Forever curious about the next bend

I am Ever. I studied languages in Scotland and tourism in Dublin, and I am now doing a master’s in digital marketing in Québec. I work in English, French and German.

I travel on my own, mostly by train and mostly out of season, and I write about the places that do not usually make the list. Every photograph and every word here is my own.

How EverPrel came to be

The story so far

September 2023

I moved to Scotland

I went there to study languages. Most weekends I took a train to a station I had never heard of, to see what was there.

October 2024

The blog got funded

During my master’s in tourism in Dublin I pitched a blog about the less obvious parts of Britain and Ireland. It won a scholarship. That pitch is this website.

2025 to 2026

A year of the same question

I spent a year answering tourists’ questions in Dublin. One came up more than any other: what else is worth seeing? So I started writing the answer down properly.

August 2026

I moved to Canada

I am in Québec now, studying digital marketing. The blog came with me, and North America is going on the map.

Go

Alone, off-season, on a train. Two or three days is usually enough.

Look

Up at seven, out before anyone else. That is the whole photography secret.

Ask

Cafés, bus drivers, the woman in the shop. They know the good part.

Write

Weeks later, once I know which bits I still remember.

Questions I get asked

The ones that actually arrive. Open one and it opens; click it again and it shuts.

One body and two lenses, and the body matters least of the three. Almost everything here was taken before eight in the morning, which does more than any equipment ever will. The full kit list, and the presets I edit with, go out with the postcard.
Yes — that is the whole method. I am in a fair few of the photographs, which is the easiest way for you to check.
Because the famous ones are already covered by everybody, and because the day usually gets better about forty minutes past where the coaches stop. I still go to the big cities. I just do not only go there.
Almost all of them, and that is deliberate. Where somewhere really does need a car, the guide says so at the top rather than at the bottom.
When a place is ready, not to a schedule. A guide takes longer than the trip did.
Ask me and usually yes, with a credit. They are all mine, so it is mine to give.
