Where I did my master’s, and then spent a year answering other people’s questions about it.
I pitched this blog during a master’s in tourism in Dublin, and then spent 2025 and 2026 working in the city and being asked the same question over and over: what else is worth seeing? These are the answers I kept giving.

The end of the train lines
Howth
A fishing village at the end of the DART line, with a cliff path that goes the whole way round the head and a lighthouse at the far side.
Killiney Hill
A short train ride out of the city and then a steep path. The whole of Dublin Bay is at the top, and half of Dublin has never been up.
The west, the north and the coast road are still to come. For now this is the city and the two walks I did most often.
